South Marion High School Opening Draws Closer
Preparations continue for the opening of South Marion High School, scheduled for August 2026.
The campus will be the first new public high school opened in Marion County in more than 25 years and is expected to serve approximately 2,000 students. District officials continue staffing, training, and operational planning ahead of the new school year.
Summer Feeding Program Continues
Marion County Public Schools continues its Summer Feeding Program at locations throughout the county.
The program provides free breakfasts and lunches to children while school is out for the summer. District officials estimate more than 140,000 meals will be served before the program concludes later this season.
