Mission Statement

WITG, Classic Hits 104.7, is a not-for-profit community-based station serving metro Ocala. Licensed as a religious/educational station, WITG commits hours of programming each week to public service, educational, and religious activities.

WITG is committed to small businesses in Ocala that are, for the most part, unable to afford commercial radio, television, or newspaper advertising.  Our goal is to make affordable advertising within the reach of even the smallest business owner.

Through our programs with the University of Florida, the University of South Florida, the College of Central Florida, and individual high schools, students seeking a career in broadcasting can access our facilities as a practical classroom.

We offer more than five hours of religious programming each week. Each Sunday we dedicate the morning hours to church services from various denominations. During the week, we broadcast a one-minute inspirational message nearly every hour at the 30-minute mark.

Finally, WITG is committed to the not-for-profit and service community in Ocala. Scores of agencies, clubs, and service organizations provide millions of dollars in aid to Marion County citizens each year.  WITG makes airtime available to each of these groups at no charge.
