MCA’s Block Party!

 

Marion Cultural Alliance’s, iconic fundraiser and exhibit Block Party, returns - bigger, bolder, and 'blockier' than ever!

Back by popular demand, this exhibit features 12 x 12 ‘blocks’ of art created by local and regional artists, designers, and creators. This year's theme is in honor of Hip Hop music's 50th anniversary. The month-long Block pARTy Exhibit launches with the VIP Reception, on Friday, November 3, at the Brick City Center for the Arts from 5 - 7 pm. VIP guests will enjoy an evening of art, music, tapas, and drinks surrounded by more than 100 pieces of original art.

Each VIP’s name will be placed in a drawing. Tickets will be drawn randomly, and the guests will be able to select the artwork of their choice in the order their ticket is drawn. The paintings will remain on display throughout the month of November when the art will be available for pickup. Following the VIP Reception, the Gallery will open to the public from 7- 9 p.m., coinciding with the City of Ocala’s First Friday Art Walk. All remaining paintings will be priced at $75 each. Theme attire is encouraged! Think old-school hip-hop (Run DMC, LLCoolJ, Salt & Pepa). VIP ticket prices are $50
