Drivers in the southeast Ocala area should be prepared for a temporary road closure near the intersection of SE 17th Street and Lake Weir Avenue, commencing on Sunday, October 1, and continuing through Sunday, October 15. As per the City of Ocala, this closure, spanning two weeks, is essential for the replacement of the current sewer force main. The closure hours will be from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., with all required traffic diversion measures in place. While construction is underway, commuters may encounter occasional delays, noise, dust, and the presence of heavy machinery within the construction zone.
