This event is a monthly tradition, always occurring on the third Thursday of each month. Residents residing near the Ocala National Forest might notice an uptick in ambient noise this week as the U.S. Navy engages in bomb testing activities at the Pinecastle Impact Range. However, besides the audible disruptions, the only noteworthy consideration for those in the vicinity of the range should revolve around potential changes in wildlife behavior due to the disturbances. During periods of bombing exercises, local wildlife may experience temporary dislocation. Therefore, exercise increased vigilance when navigating the Ocala National Forest and its environment.
