Not only will that but Plantation West 82 Bar & Grill, located on the property cooks your fresh catch! Citizens From 7 Countries Are Now Banned From Buying A Part of Florida

The new Florida real estate law that went into effect July 1 now prohibits citizens of 7 countries from buying real estate. The countries specified are Cuba, Venezuela, Syria, Iran, Russia, and North Korea. But Chinese citizens and those selling property to them face the harshest penalties.

It will now be a felony for Chinese people to buy property in restricted areas or for any person or real estate Company to knowingly sell to restricted people. For the other six specified nations, the penalty is a misdemeanor for buyers and sellers. Primarily the law affects areas in and around infrastructure like airports and seaports, water and wastewater treatment plants, natural gas and oil processing facilities, power plants, spaceports, and telecommunications central switching offices. While you may be thinking this won't really affect Marion County, agricultural land is also specified. What about the Foreign Citizens that already own property near critical infrastructure? They must register with the state or face fines of up to $1,000 a day. They're also prohibited from acquiring additional property. The law has provisions to allow the state to seize property from violators that fail to register.
